Transit Village Proposal Drama Continues - see attached letter from Donna Gerber, former Supervisor for Contra Costa County, strongly opposing the for-rental proposal proposed by Avalon Bay, and supported by our County Supervisor Mitchoff and BART. Please email these representatives and state your opinion. The Walden Board encourages you to read Donna's letter and indicate your support for her position by telling our Supervisor, Karen Mitchoff, (supervisormitchoff@bos.cccounty.us) and BART director Gail Murray (boardofdirectors@bart.gov) Without public outcry, the JPA will certainly proceed with this abrogation of the agreement made in the 2002 Charrette - a forum which included input from over 500 citizens.
